Vintage/Antique Japanese Tansu Chest

Traditional Japanese 2 piece stacking clothing Tansu has a simple modern look. Solid wood chests are made without screws or nails, but with bamboo dowels. Forged iron handles on drawers & corner brackets. Traditional mobile cabinetry with iron handles each side can be used to move cabinets. When not in use the handles slide down into iron pockets. Top Tansu has 7 drawers. The bottom chest has 2 large drawers. All drawers slide easily. Backs are finished. Base is removable. Each cabinet can be used independently as a low chest. Measures 42" W x 18 3/4" x 40" H.
