Mike Krise Well Known Squaxin Tribe Artist Original Signed Painting

Mike Krise is a very respected mix media artist and member of the Squaxin Tribe with their reservation located outside Shelton Wa. Mike has been commissioned to create totem Poles, fish boxes and paintings for clients throughout the PNW and California. This not sure if Mike named this painting but I did “Symbolic Salmon”
This is one of a group of paintings intended to serve as a proofs for a series of numbered prints. We have digitalized the painting and ran a test batch, matted and shrink wrapped for resale. Then it was decided to not take them to market until we added a variety of types of art. You are bidding on the original painting. It has been stored for some time until placing it here for auction. I never framed it because not intended to display any of them at this time. Please place it behind glass immediately. In the near future we you see this same fish for sale at casinos, galleries, museums or as a printed shirt. Winner of this auction can rightfully claim to having the original. Mike has served as a tribal council member and serves as an unofficial good will
ambassador between tribe and the public at times.. Mike's sister Charlene Krise has served numerous terms on the tribal council and is chairwoman and curator of the tribes fantastic public museum since it’s inception. She realized early on Mike was one of the most talented native artist in the PNW. Such a believer of her brother’s art she has been actively repurchasing many items and now holds over a 100 of Mike’s works. I've know Mike for 30 years and have our friendship has never wavered. We are donating 50% of the hammer price to assist in his recovery from kidney surgery.

Prefer not to ship. If so here will be a $20 handling fee to safely ship this painting and $10 flat rate cost.
