Extremely rare edition!!! This is the FIRST Bobbs-Merrill printing of Baum's first book in the Oz series. The Word "New" was dropped from the title after this printing making it one of THE MOST DIFFICULT of The Oz books to Find. Later copies have the now-familiar shortened title, "The Wizard of Oz."

Notes: Solid condition considering age. Binding still in tact.
