"Joseph Augustine Grassia was born in Newark, New Jersey in 1947. Inspired towards a creative career at a young age by his Aunt Mickey and, later, by his business partner, Grassia’s art education and his university degree was interrupted by the war in Vietnam but eventually completed, allowing him to pursue a highly successful career in the world of painting and photography. Inspired now particularly by the outdoors, by writing and by his love of photography, Joseph Augustine Grassia is particularly well known for the photographic art he has created, and these creations are now held by collectors all over the world."
