Outstanding Vintage Chaise (2 Of 2) With Luxurious Down Cushion, Wingback Arm, French Feet, & Brass Tacking

Vintage 1960’s chaise lounge previously owned by legendary film and TV writer and director, Tay Garnett. Tay has extensive credits – and his Wikipedia entry is an amazing list of movie, film stars, TV shows, and notable actors. He is well known for China Seas, The Postman Always Rings Twice. and a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, among his many movies! His TV directing credits included The Loretta Young Show, Wagon Train, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Please Don’t Eat the Daisies, and much more.

This chaise features down cushions covered with Chinese Chinoiserie fabric (one side has water damage - see photos), French splayed feet, a scalloped frame with wing shape. There are two in the auction. It would be fun to have a set!

The chaise measures roughly 48 inches long by 24 inches wide by 28 inches high. The seat is roughly 14 inches from the ground.
