Item Description

Dimensions: 29” (w) x 13”(d) x 17” (h).
Tansu are commonly used for the storage of clothing, particularly kimono. Edo-period ryobiraki chest on chest were used by merchant class women for personal clothing storage. Tansu were first recorded in the Genroku era (1688–1704) of the Edo period (1603–1867).
