Vintage Signed Hungarian HMV Folk Pottery Handpainted Brown 7.5” Slipware Vase

Exceptional Vintage Hungarian Pottery Vase.

Traditional primitive folk art slipware design.

Elegant hand formed shape with fluted base.

Stoneware clay body.

7.5” tall x 4.5” wide. Base is 3” across.

It is clearly signed on the bottom HMV and the artists mark, but I am unable to identify the artist.

Exceptional condition: no chips, cracks, crazing or damage. The three marks on the bottom are from the kiln firing pins used when it was fired.

This piece is absolutely wonderful, a rare find.
