Item Description

Vintage Louis Nichole heirloom collection doll measures 18" H.

Unlike most doll designers, Louie begins with creating the design of the textile, lace, and trimmings to be used for his dolls and then hand weaves and hand crochets the original in his textile studio…much the way dolls were created in the 18th century. Once the Textiles the costume design is created and the clay sculpture begins for the face and hands.
Louis Nichole Dolls have been featured at The White House, the Smithsonian, The Victoria & Albert Museum, Disney World, Boston Children’s Museum and the Jimmy Carter Museum just to mention a few. louisnichole.com
