Vintage Framed Chinese Artwork Attributed To Chang Ta-ch'ien And Zhou Shixin

The Chinese caligraphy on left notes the black-and-white mountain scene is the work of Chang Ta-ch'ien and the colorful flowers were later added by Zhou Shixin. The caligraphy on the right describes how gentlemen appreciate artistic collaboration.

Chang Ta-ch'ien (1899-1983) was one of the best-known and most prodigious Chinese artists of the twentieth century. Zhou Shixin (1923-?) is a Chinese Asian Modern & Contemporary artist.

Stamp on rear indicates piece was framed at Empire Studios in New Canaan in November 1957. Unable to affirm authenticity of the piece.

Consistent with age and use.
