Vintage Cushman Colonial Creations Solid Maple Hutch

Vintage Cushman Colonial Creations Hutch with a beautiful solid maple wood grain. Made in Bennington Vermont. This hutch is in good condition with clean drawers and cabinets. There is age appropriate wear but overall it's looking very good. Top portion comes off for easier transport.

In 1933, the H.T. Cushman Company introduced Cushman Colonial Creations, a new line of colonial style furniture designed by Herman DeVries to appeal to modern tastes. It featured rounded edges and a reddish maple color and proved to be very popular. It was the company's trademark line for three decades.

This is part 1 of a two part series that consists of a business closing in Terryville CT. With the sudden passing of a hard working business owner, he leaves behind his business full of tools, equipment and more. His wife was working this past year to build an antique store in the space connected to his business and was just about ready to open before the sudden passing of her husband. She was so excited to open her doors, but with her two twin girls in college, she needs to get a full time job and put her antique store dream on hold. She collected tons of treasures, which are being sold in this part of the series. We are hoping to honor both her and her husband's items and send them to new homes to be used and loved. Part 2 consists of tools, equipment and more and is currently running in a separate auction with pick up on the same day.
