Chinese imperial guardian lions are a traditional Chinese architectural ornament. They are known in colloquial English as lion dogs or foo dogs. These figurines bear expressions which are ferociously cute, with mouths wide open in smiling grins, fangs bared, and expressive, bulging eyes. This set of five is in good vintage condition.
