This well executed stencil by Henry Billings is very rare, especially with the artist's signature and hand written title.
It was one of several dozen pieces of art that I obtained from a single estate. The estate was untouched for approximately 30 years (secretly stored away), and it included many works of art, several first-year production highly collectible mcm furniture items, and unused/unopened household décor items.
The same work is in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum (first link). Unsigned versions are very hard to come by, demanding high prices (second link).
Good vintage condition showing normal signs of wear consistent with age and use such as scuffs and dirt to original period frame and glass.
