Absolutely gorgeous 1940s cedar chest by The Lane Company in Altavista, Virginia. This is the Colonial Low-Boy "Amesbury" model (Style No. 44-1613). The interior includes all of the original paperwork and marketing materials including an incredible $100 MOTH INSURANCE POLICY issued by the AETNA Insurance Company.

This piece has been in the family for over 75 years. Interior is in mint, like-new condition. The exterior is also in beautiful condition, but the top has some visible scratches and wear consistent with age.
