Mr. JEAN JANSEM was an artist born in 1920 in Sölöz, Turkey, to an Armenian family. He moved to France with his family at the age of 10. He is globally known and appreciated for his expressive and humanistic art. His work is widely distributed throughout the world and is featured in numerous public and private collections. Two museums are devoted to him in Japan. In more than 70 years of constant practice of painting and drawing, he has created a coherent, sensitive, intuitive work without compromise to the various artistic trends. His figuration has always remained at the service of emotion.
