Signed Yan Zoritchak Contemporary Optical Illusion Decorative Crystal

Yan Zoritchak is a contemporary Slovakian glass artist and sculptor. He is best known for his elegant glass obelisks that depict the cosmos, and founded the first center dedicated to glass art in Aix-en-Provence. Born November 13, 1944 in Zdiar, Slovakia, Zoritchak be went on to study at the Prague School of Applied Arts, becoming a master of decorative crystal crafting. “My sculptures allow me to return on the earth of the portions of space, facilitating to each of us the journey in the universe,” the artist has said of his practice. “By the bright game of the reflection and the refraction, in my spirit or in the vision of the man, we approach the fourth dimension.” Zoritchak currently resides in Talloires, France, where he has lived since 1970.
