Item Description

Yixing clay teapots, also called Purple Sand, are made from Yixing clay. This traditional style commonly used to brew tea originated in China, dating back to the 15th century, and are made from clay produced near Yixing in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu. Marked with the manufacturer’s seal on the bottom of the teapot and artist’s seal on the inner lid of the teapot and the underside of each cup.
Including:
- Teapot measuring 7"Diam.
- Five tea cups measuring 2"Diam.
- One cup measuring 2"H.
- One stand measuring 10"Diam.
Condition: very good.
