About the artist:
After taking a degree in Law, he went on to study fine arts at the School of Applied Drawing. He operated as a war painter in 1917, and then lived in Italy and France. He returned to Budapest in 1925, and worked in Szőnyi's surroundings in Zebegény, from the mid thirties. Was a member of the Színyei Society, and also frequented the Gresham Circle. Following the Second World War he settled in Tihany.
