Beautiful Art Nouveau Vanity Pin Dish & Vase.
Hand painted, with raised dots and lovely detail.
Hand painted 22 carat Gold trim.
Motifs depicts butterflies and a spider web, capturing the current fascination with and fashion to admire all things of nature.
Pieces are both signed R. Laurell.
Both pieces are created with flowing Art Nouveau forms. The vase has beautiful ribs that form feet at the bottom of the piece.
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or crazing.
Dish measures 5.25" across.
Vase stands 4.75" high.
I am assuming that these pieces were made in France, most like in Limoges, but I can not confirm this.
