Item Description

This charming wooden box is unmarked and unsigned, but believed to have been made in Russia in circa 1960's. The lid displays a scenic Fall vignette of the Russian wooded countryside along a riverbank with a bridge in the distance. Hand painted in hues of ochre, olive and burnt sienna adds warmth to the piece. The exterior of the box is lacquered in glossy black, while the interiors reveals a vibrant red interior when opened.

Dimensions: 5”W x 4”D x 2”H
