Grant of land document, partially printed on heavy velum, and dated July 16, 1806, signed by Thomas McKean. McKean signed this document when he was a governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The document is countersigned by Timothy Matlock, so called "fighting Quaker", delegate to the Continental Congress. This partially printed document is on heavy vellum with intact seal.
One side of the round seal reads: "The seal of the State of Pennsylvania," while the other side reads "Both Can't Survive." with a female figure striking an animal. The document was printed by W. Hamilton. It is also attested by James Trimble, Deputy Secretary.
Dimensions: 12" x 21"
Condition: very good.
