Original Robert LoGrippo Painting On Board (Original Cover Art For RCA Opera Album In 1972)

Signed by Robert LoGrippo . . . marked "Photo'd B/W 12/19/72" . . .20-1/2" x 21" . . .painting was restored a number of years ago. . . .I personally saw documents FROM THE ARTIST indicating that this painting was used for "A Russian Opera Album in 1972". . . .he could not recall which one. . . .MARKED ON BACK "ROBERT LOGRIPPO RCA RECORDS) . . . .it looks to me like the painting was cut down to match the size of the album (if you look at the back of the piece the RCA RECORDS part is clearly cut through) . . . .the restorer contacted the artist (you will get copies of those letters) . . . .REALLY A GREAT PAINTING . . . . this lot came from a fantastic estate in Fairfield CT, this family had many wonderful Items. many of which were kept by the family (which is very often the case) but we were lucky enough to get a beautiful grouping of items to bring to auction. . . .GOOD LUCK BIDDING
