Jennie Tomao (1934- ) was born in New York, and she received her artistic training at the New York School of Music and Art. She was inspired by artists such as John Singer Sargent, and Jan Vermeer, and this shows in her work. Her landscapes are radiant, and her still lifes have elegance and detail. Tomao's work has been exhibited throughout the West Coast, including Beverly Hills, San Diego, San Francisco, Palm Desert, Laguna, Portland, and Vancouver, as well as Las Vegas, Florida and Japan. She is an award-winning and internationally published artist, and is collected and admired widely.
