Impressive Vintage 30.5" Tall Mid Century Modern CURTIS JERE DEER SCULPTURE

Created by renowned mid-century designer CURTIS JERE, this massive sculpture is a modernist masterpiece. A standing deer, set atop round marble base. The deer is solid brass [he often used copper and brass in his sculptures], and stands over 2 1/2 feet [30.5"]. He created it in 2 sizes, a smaller 18" tall version [antlers are perked, 1/2 the size] and the much larger 30.5" sculpt, which is the one we are offering. Condition is very good. Several scant scratches to the base and sculpture, but it shows quite nicely. In galleries and antiques sites, it is commonly offered for upwards of $1700-. We are opening it for $1, with no reserve.
