Original framed painting by Wladyslaw Cegla displaying a pastoral path. A note on the backside of the piece appears to date the piece to 1980 and indicates either the artist or the piece won a Medaille d'Or.
Wladyslaw Cegla (Poland 1907 - Hornfleur, France 2012). Polish-French painter. He fought in the WW2. After the war he moved to Paris, where he lived in the Montmartre artistic district. He worked in a circus, which became one of his prefered subjects. Later in his life he moved to Honfleur (Normandy) and became fascinated with the sea - maritime art is another important part of his art.
