Item Description

A stunning oil on canvas by Mildrey Guillot named “Cristo”. She calls it a “unique giclee”, where she adds/embellishes to the giclee with oil paint so there is texture in this piece. She hand signed the back as well. Her use of colors and technique is amazing. The canvas measures 14x18”. It’s in great condition and comes with a cert of authenticity.

Mildrey Guillot was born in Havana, Cuba. In 1962 she moved to the United States. She spent several years in Madrid, Spain where she acquired and developed some of her techniques and themes. Her love for Madrid is present in some of her works.

Mildrey Guillot has devoted a good period of her life to art. To start a new painting means a great deal to her because the subjects that she chooses have to capture a specific mood, like love, happiness, sadness, etc. Then she’ll employ her unique palette to add an element of mystery or mysticism; even in her still lives she can obtain remarkable results.

She favors three kinds of media: charcoals, pastels, and oils (her preferred form of expression is oil-based for its versatility and overall vivacity).

On a day to day basis her themes & subjects vary drastically and are very much reflective of her mood.

Mrs. Guillot studied in Madrid and now exhibits in Spain, Paris, South America, Puerto Rico, The United States and Switzerland.

Go to the double doors all the way to the left where it says “30” and “50” on doors. Enter and follows signs to us. We are on the main level between Luna & Lotus yoga studio and Collinsville T Shirt Company. If you have large items, we will reach out before you come to explain where to meet.
