MCM Figurative Expressionist Painting By George Marinko

MCM Expressionist oil on board by world famous Artist George Marinko . Yale Art school . This is oil on board 8x10 signed lower right .11x13 period modern frame . Marinko is in the collection of many museums across the country and his surrealists paintings hang in museums . He had many styles including abstract , modern landscapes , surrealist drawings and prints . George was handled by many New York Galleries and donated paintings for silent auctions . Sadly he died alone in his apartment on Dwight St in New Haven . I bought 50 of his paintings at one time and most were bought up by collectors who understood in many ways he was under rated . Some surrealist paintings were sold for over 50,000.00. A great surrealist work hangs in the Wadsworth in Hartford Ct . This painting may be a self portrait of himself . He was know to do that often . Great little painting for American art collectors
