Item Description

Nicely framed lithographic print hand signed by artist Joan Purcell (1933 - 2010), featuring a pair of young children, seated & facing away titled - Grover and Playmate - Gorgeous antique gilt decorated frame measuring 25.5" wide by 22" tall. Her original works were often done in charcoal sketches, which were offered as limited print runs like this one, which is low numbered 36/200 and signed by her. Overall good shape, some slight warping to the matting that would benefit from a relining the original matting doesn't appear to have been braced enough from behind, so a redo would flatten it out evenly again, easy enough to do even at home. A good listed artist and one of two separate works offered in this sale.
