Does have a slot in the top but it is too small to be a typical coin money box. The "tracks" on the top may indicate that it slid onto another piece. Unfortunately the embossed name / details on the bottom are too hard to read. You be the judge. Regardless, it is an interesting piece.

Retains majority of original paint. See pic for details.
