“Moti was born in Bombay, India on December 15th 1921. He was first educated at the Bombay School of Fine Arts. He also studied at the University College in London, the Slade School of Fine Arts, where he received his Masters in painting and sculpture, and later in Paris. In 1950 he moved to Paris, continuing his studies and it became his permanent home. He pursued sculpture and later he studied engraving, innovating the idea of viscosity printing to create colored etchings. He is recognized as one of the premiere engravers in the world. His works have been exhibited around the world. He died in 1989 in Paris.”
