Item Description

Each piece bear the maker’s mark of Joseph Crossard, a French master silversmith, located in the rue Montmorency, in the Marais quarter of Paris, from 1900 to 1920, consisting of the image of a bishop’s staff and the letters ARD (staff, “crosse” in French, along with the letters ARD make up the name of Crossard).
The sterling silver handles bear the French “Minerve Premier Titre” hallmark, indicating the highest quality of French sterling silver (950/1000), used in Paris since 1838. The Minerve Premier Titre is the guarantee that the sterling is at least 95% silver.
Fish serving set with gold wash includes:
