Item Description

A French Louis XVI neoclassical style canapé. The vintage Avanti Furniture sofa, features a distressed blue-green painted hand-carved wood frame with curved crest ornamented with anthemion and scrolled detail , fluted vasiform column supports resting on rosette decorated corner blocks, an apron with stylized lyre carving and terminating on inverted turned legs. Ivory Scalamandre silk upholstery in a geometric and floral pattern covers the sides, backs and loose down seat cushion and two matching bolster pillows.
