1966 First Decimal Coinage of the Bahama Islands , date of issue; May 25 , 1966 when the British Bahama Islands changed their currency. Traditionally , they had pounds , shillings , and pence, then changed to BAHAMIAN DOLLARS and CENTS . These seven new coins were designed by Arnold Machin , Royal Academician, and produced by the Royal Mint in London , England .

The coins in this Selected Specimen Set were carefully hand-picked and attractively packaged exclusively for the Citizens Federal Savings , Hialeah , Florida.

The coins are , $1 Silver Dollar ( .466 oz. silver ) , silver half dollar ( .267 oz. silver ) , Quarter , fifteen cent , ten cent , five cent and penny.
