Fantastic Antique Circa 1900 Vienna Bronze NUBIAN ARAB WARRIOR Sculpture- Attributed FRANZ BERGMANN

A rare original circa 1900 cold painted Vienna Bronze sculpture of a Nubian/Moorish warrior seated on a cropping of boulders, under the shade of a palm tree. It has been attributed to master Austrian bronze sculptor FRANZ BERGMANN. In his right hand, a sword. His left, a large shield. RARELY do find an original, as this sculpture has been poorly reproduced in the past 30 years. The level of this example is impressive, especially regarding the palm fronds [the fakes have terrible palm trees and stiff features]. It has original paint, a period-correct bolt on the underside, and is marked 'Geschutz' on the body. Stands 8.5", massive by Vienna Bronze standards, as most are 1"-2" in height. 120+ years old, by the highest regarded Vienna Bronze sculptor FRANZ BERGMANN.
