Peter Carlson (1955 - Present) - Tivoli - Exhibition Poster - Framed

Every year Tivoli Gardens (or simply Tivoli) lets a Danish artist design the poster art for the coming season. The art for the poster of 1995 was created by Peter S. Carlsen (1955) who also is well known for his graphic designs and paintings. Tivoli is one of the world most famous amusement parks. The park is the second oldest amusement park in the world and is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and is by far the most visited spot in Scandinavia.

The image shows a young girl which is dressed in quite old fashioned way (who looks a bit like Little Red Riding Hood) with a very expectant look. Maybe she dreams of a trip to Tivoli or maybe she is inside Tivoli and having a good time? Behind her is the Japanese tower and the The Pantomime Theatre and in the air is a couple of balloons flying out in the Copenhagen night sky.
