Georges Briard 1950s Clear Glass And Gold Square And Rectangular Plates

Wonderful set of 3 Georges Briard square fish plates in clear glass and gold with modern abstract design. Georges Briard, originally from the Ukraine, was a prominent designer of the 50's-70's whose work was sold in high end American department stores. Group also includes two small Georges Briard plates with a floral design and a platter by Fred Press, another prominent mid-century designer. All of the Georges Briard plates are in excellent condition with no noted chips or cracks. The Fred Press platter has very minor chips on some of the corners.
