Duncan Phyfe was a 19th-century furniture maker based out in New York. He is well known for his neoclassical style as well as graceful proportions and lines. His elegant design has been used and replicated throughout the 19th century to the present time. This chair showcases the Phyfe style harp on the back and detailed fluted lines on the front that glide from top to bottom.
