Cruz Handmade Pitcher From Spain And More

"Cruz" is a well-known family of "Puente del Arzobispo" in the province of "Toledo", in central Spain. The whole family works, brothers, brothers-in-law and children. The older brother "Emilio" is the director, but his father and mother still lend a hand in making and painting ceramics.

The men make the pottery and the ladies paint it. You will see a very particular style, it is known as "tiptoe" style. Everything is painted with fine brushes, with a great intensity of designs and colors. It takes a lot of time to make a piece, as you can imagine. There is also a beautiful Foraline #410 planter by McCoy USA made between 1941 and l969.
