Item Description

Nicely framed Clinique Cheron by Theophile-Alexandre Steinlen poster.

Theophile Alexandre Steinlen (November 10, 1859 – December 13, 1923) was a Swiss-born French Art Nouveau painter and printmaker. Steilen often depicted animals, specifically cats, as well as the bohemian cabaret culture of turn-of-the-century Paris. Cats appealed to Steinlen for their charm, movement and character, as well as for their symbolic properties. Clinique Cheron is an advertising poster for a veterinary hotel and clinic in Paris, France.
