Inge Claussen was born in Hamburg Germany, where she spent her childhood and then eventually, emigrated to Montreal, Canada. At age 11, she started to painting, sketching, drawing using pastel, ink pen, and water color under the guidance of her father who was an artist and poet. She attended Fine art School in Germany as well as study sessions in Major Galleries.
