The Artist, Caroline Young, was gracious enough to forward us the below information:

"It's a very special print that combines lithography, silk screening, mezzotint etching, metal foiling, embossing and mother-of-pearl glazing to produce an end product you don't see often today. Too expensive to do this type of printing anymore.

The image depicts Lady Otsu. She was very much in love with Musashi the warrior, and she followed him from battle to battle. Unfortunately, he was more interested in making war than love, so her devotion was not returned. She vowed never to cut her hair, symbolizing her never-ending love for him."

This Mixed media print takes 50 - 90 days to create. It is framed under UV plexiglass with a black shiny gloss frame and cream silk matting. Ready to hang on any wall in your home!
