1985 Artessania Latina 1:75 scale BLUENOSE II The last of the tall Schooners wooden model kit #20500 unassembled. Instructions included.
Built in 1963, the Bluenose II is the last of the Tall Schooners. She's an exact replica of the original Bluenose, a Canadian fishing schooner that outraced New England's fastest fishing vessels in the Twenties and Thirties, landed record catches of fish, and even ran rum during Prohibition.
Artesania Latina kit features traditional plank-on-bulkhead construction with double-planked hull. Wooden parts, including the keel section and frames, are pre-cut and ready for assembly, Anchor chains, eye-bolts, and belaying pins, rudder hinges are all made of brass, as are the hundreds of pin nails you'll use to fasten the planking. Also included are blocks and deadeyes of walnut and boxwood, rigging, and pre cut (ready to install) cloth sails.
