Wonderful mid-century piece

Cosmetically has some dings and some paint on cover.

The measurements of the case are: 17" W x 10 1/2" H x 8' Deep
The antenna pulls out to 42"

Back opens up. Seems to missing a couple of tubes.

The front of the radio is missing a knob but the dial works
When the front of the case is open, the top shows the "WAVEMAGNET) which detaches and hooks up to the radio for better reception (I don't think the connectors are with this specific piece)

Booklets are original and include:
Operating Guide (there is room to list shortwave channels) - book is clean and unmarked
Introducing! World's Newest Aid to Navigation (the radio can work with batteries, AC, DC, and includes an adapter for 9V operation)
Zenith Radio - Long Distance (list of shortwave radio stations)
Diagram and parts list

Notes: 1953 radio - Standard and Shortwave, well described for condition above. Some wear and paint splatter on case, missing some tubes, not tested for working condition, missing a knob on the front. A remarkable piece!
