Antique Pewter Lavabo Water Fountain

Antique pewter lavabo with original touch marks on rear. Lid features ornamentation in the form of a small pear. Body includes built-in spout but is missing tap/handle. Bottom piece is ready for mounting but backing has pulled slightly away from the rest of the basin; likely could be repaired.

In the past, lavabos were used outside where the sunshine could warm the "tank" of water so you had warm water to wash your hands. Today, they are often used for garden decoration and bird baths.

Water catcher: 13" wide, 3" tall, 9" depth
