This Glass With Sterling Silver Scroll Frame Overlay 10" Cake Plate/Platter was produced by The Merrill Shops of New York, NY between 1893 to 1931. The company was known for producing small quality items in silver. The piece measures 250mm (10") wide by 70mm tall. The Frame is in excellent condition and has an unblemished inside the cartouche that was never monogramed.
The sterling mark is pictured and represents the Merrill Shops.
A little polish and a jeweler to monogram it, and this frame would make a treasured wedding or anniversary gift
