A french Chappee woodburning stove from the 1920s made from dark brown vitreous enamelled cast iron. The mesh panel at the front can be removed to reveal 3 small mica windows to see the fire itself. It is side loading with a rear flue and is very efficient at burning logs with an output of approximately 6kW.
It's double skinned construction ensures that the surface temperature of the stove is not too high. Top lid lifts up so that pots and pans can be placed on to the top. Large opening door for easy loading, rod on side for shaking the grate, draught leaver on side at top, lower door at bottom for cleaning purposes. In the center of the bottom door is another leaver to create more draught.
Please note this item is very heavy and you need to be prepared to move on your own.
