Antique 19th Century George III Mahogany Secretary Bookcase

A stately George III mahogany bureau bookcase or secretary. The upper section has a shaped cornice and two lattice glass doors enclosing three adjustable shelves. The mahogany fall front opens to a fitted interior with drawers and pigeon holes. Below are five drawers with brass pulls and escutcheons standing on bracket feet.
Purchased from Braswell Galleries in 1994 and appraised by Christie's several years ago for $4,500.
Dimensions: 47.5"W x 22.5"D x 86"H
Breaks down to two pieces for easy transport.
Condition: very good with a small piece of wood missing at the end of the second drawer.
