Antique 19th Century English MAJOLICA Cherry Blossom, & Crane TEAPOT
Pot measures 7" x 6" x 4
The glaze is beautiful shades of Robins Egg Blue, Yellow, Cocoa, Pink & Indigo.
The back is blind embossed with and English Registration Mark, but I can not make out any of the letters and numerals.
There is also number and painted, but I can't make that out either.
This is an outstanding example of English Majolica Pottery from the second half of the 19th century.
The pot is in very good condition for its age.
There are no significant chips and no cracks.
There are some small old chips on the rim, as well as crazing.
There are stains that show, particularly in the white areas of the pot and on the interior.
Please review all photos.
IMHO, this unusual pot still presents very well.
Consistent with age and use.
