An 18th Century Oil On Canvas, Portrait Of A Minister, Signed Pritchard, Possibly Associated With John Jay

This is a very large, beautifully restored piece in a period gilt and plaster frame from the collection of Hank Collins. Detailed restoration records are available. Purchased from Cal Smith auctions in the 1990's. There was thought to be a family association between this painting and the John Jay family, though this is an oral history only, there is no paperwork to this effect. Restoration by Julian Fishburne. Note the photos of some text plates that appeared on the back of the painting and were lost to time. One is still intact on the back, the other, will come in an envelope with the painting. Both are incomplete, but give clues to the identity of the Minister and origin of the painting. WOW!
