Painter, etcher, stained-glass designer. Born in Springfield, MA on Dec. 26, 1863. Schroff studied at Cowles Art School and under Major, Chominski, and De Camp. He was active in Boston during the early part of his career and in 1915 moved to Eugene, OR where he taught for many years at the University of Oregon. During the 1920s and 1930s he had a home in Carmel, CA where he was a professor at UCs Summer School. He died in Eugene, OR on April 16, 1939. Member: Carmel AA; Laguna Beach AA; Boston Art Club; Boston Architects Club; Pacific AA; Oakland Art League; Copley Society; Society of Oregon Artists.
