Very sturdy and well built. Chairs have gorgeous rose carvings in the woodwork. Both chairs are in good condition structurally, the velvet fabric shows some discoloring along the bottoms of the chairs that may or may not come clean. They are 37 1/2 tall x 20 inches wide x 15 inches deep
